The old way

47 messages.
Still no idea who's coming.

A group chat is a great place to talk and a terrible place to answer one question. Replies arrive out of order, half the group never answers, and whoever's hosting ends up scrolling back through the thread doing a headcount in their head.

  • Answers scatter. A "yes" from Tuesday sits above an "actually can't" from an hour ago.
  • Silence is ambiguous. No reply could mean coming, not coming, or not looking.
  • The host does the work. Someone has to tally it, re-ask, then re-tally.

The rediro way

One link.
One live board.

Make a plan, share the link, and the answer stops being a thread — it becomes a board. Three numbers at the top tell you the whole story before you read a single name.

LiveStatuses land the moment someone taps. No refresh, no re-asking.
OrderedEveryone appears once, with their current answer — not their message history.
Honest"No reply" is its own state, so silence stops being a guess.

The vocabulary

Three taps. That's the whole language.

No free text to interpret, no emoji to decode. Every guest answers the same question the same way — so the board always means one thing.

Try it — tap a status and watch the board.

No status yet — the board shows you as “No reply”.

Push +5

Running late has a ceiling.

"Almost there" can go on forever in a group chat. In rediro it can't. Push +5 works three times — fifteen minutes, total — and then it's gone. Late stays honest because the app stops letting it stretch.

Time-Sensitive ping

Nudge whoever's still quiet.

When the start time arrives and someone hasn't answered, one tap sends them a Time-Sensitive notification — the kind iOS lets through Focus and silent mode. It's person-to-person only. rediro never uses it to market anything.

  • Only the host can send it. Guests can't ping each other.
  • Only to people who are actually overdue. It isn't a broadcast.
  • Rate-limited. One nudge per person, per plan.

Two ways to plan

Someone's in charge. Or nobody is.

Plans don't all work the same way. A workout class has an owner; guys' night doesn't. rediro gives you both, and the difference is who's allowed to cancel.

Host Event

You run it.

  • You control the start and the cancel
  • You set capacity, so it can't overfill
  • You send the nudges

Classes · dinners · sessions · anything with an owner

Group Event

Everyone's equal.

  • No single owner — nobody can unilaterally kill it
  • Cancelling takes a 2-vote majority
  • Everyone sees the same board and the same controls

Cancel this plan?

Needs 2 votes.

Questions

The ones people actually ask.

Do my friends need to install anything?

No. Only the host uses the app. Everyone else opens the invite link in whatever browser they already have — iPhone or Android — types a first name, and taps a status. No account, no download.

What is a Time-Sensitive ping?

A notification iOS lets through Focus and silent modes. rediro uses it for one thing only: a host nudging a guest who is running late. Never for marketing, never automated.

Can someone push the start time forever?

No. Push +5 works three times, so a guest can add at most 15 minutes. After that the option is gone and their status stays put.

What happens to a plan after it ends?

It auto-closes two hours after the start time. The board stops taking statuses and drops out of everyone’s list, so you never accumulate dead threads.

Who can see my plans?

Only people with the invite link. Plans are not searchable, there is no public directory, and nothing is shared with advertisers.

Is it really free?

Yes. No ads, no subscription, no paid tier holding features back. You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.
